The 2009 British Hairdresser of the Year, Akin Konizi, is the latest big name to sign up to the HAIRraising appeal that is being run across salons nationwide. This charity aims to help raise £1 million towards new operating theatres at Great Ormond Street Hospital.
Founded by John Frieda and other leading hairdressers, the appeal asks salons to raise money by organising fundraising events and inviting customers to add a £1 donation to their bill.
The money raised will allow the hospital to treat more children across the UK and internationally who require specialist neurosurgery.
Prizes
Yes, you can raise money and be in with a chance to win something for you or your salon too. Prizes include trips to Sydney, Brazil or LA with renowned hairdressers such as Errol Douglas and John Frieda and assisting on celebrity photoshoots.
