In 2008, Trevor Sorbie decided to give something back to the community by setting up a charity called 'My New Hair', a wig styling service for people with hair loss (ranging from alopecia to cancer sufferers).
He has now gained a Government grant of £86,500 to help extend this programme with further training for hairdressers to provide pre and after-care services for cancer patients. This including dealing with the psychological implications involved.
