WorldSkills UK is a set of dynamic skills competitions for both young people and adults. Designed by industry experts and taking place annually, there are over 70 skills competitions available ranging from Construction, Floristry, Landscape Gardening and Hospitality through to Fashion, IT, Hair & Beauty, Engineering and the Arts.
Competitions are held regionally and nationally across the UK. Some WorldSkills UK Competitions can lead to WorldSkills, where outstanding national finalists compete against the best in the world in their skill.
In 2008, over 3,500 young people and adults entered a WorldSkills UK Competition. In 2009 that figure will grow.
